The Layover

This paper plane inspired art piece hovers in a quiet lounge where it’s windows overlook airplanes making their final decent into the Fort Lauderdale International Airport.

A mass of 348 planes shaped from thermally folded acrylic are individually hung in a formation of intersecting grids. This installation artwork is permanently installed in the ceiling of the lounge at the AC Marriott in Dania Beach, FL.
